Gage is being fostered in Lancaster, PA. He is only available to be adopted within PA. Interested families must be willing to come to Lancaster to meet him. He is vaccinated, negative for FIV/FeLV, declawed, neutered, and has been treated with flea and worm preventatives. Gage is NOT a purebred cat.
Gage is a wonderful little man! He has a great personality and loves to cuddle and play. He is very snuggly and loves attention! He is quite talkative and very lovable.
He has medium-long hair. He is solid grey all over! His tail is a big fluffy plume! He loves to be brushed with a soft bristle brush!
Gage has moderate to severe skin allergies. He is improving steadily on medication and special food, but we are still working to find the cause of his allergies. He often has scabs and small sores from licking himself. He gets weekly medicated baths and is on daily medication. He is very well behaved for his meds and baths. Gage's allergies are not contagious to people or other pets. The allergies do make him susceptible to bacterial and fungal infections, so the medicated baths may be a lifelong necessity to protect him.
He is VERY chatty and talkative. He wants to be with his person all the time! He cries very loudly if he gets put in a room by himself. He bonds quickly and loves people! He is extremely social and affectionate!Gage is good with other cats, dogs, and older children.
Gage was adopted when he was 5 1/2 months old, and they had him for 5 months. They returned him because his skin allergies were too much for them to handle.
Gage is a sweetheart and deserves a loving family! He would do best in a home where he has a person home most of the time, or in a family with another cat or dog for him to be buddies with. He needs companionship.
He could be adopted with his foster brother, Connor, who has similar skin allergies. Connor's skin problems are seasonal and dietary. They are well managed with special food and inexpensive shots in the springtime. Gage loves Connor and they make a very fun, entertaining pair!
Gage was born June 12, 2013. He is a very handsome boy and is ready for a forever family to love him! Please adopt him! Or ask about our foster-to-adopt program to try him out!
The adoption fee for Gage is $100, or $160 for him and another kitty. Gage has been vaccinated, neutered, declawed, and has been to the vet multiple times. Gage needs a family that is okay with the probability that he will need lifelong medical care for his skin.
If you have questions or would like to meet Gage, please email us! Gage's foster mom loves him very much and can tell you all about his sweet personality!
