Hank is around 3 years of age.  He is a social and loving kitty who is so very thankful to have been rescued from the outdoors.  Hank has been neutered, vaccinated, and even micro-chipped.  He did test positive for FIV and negative for FELV.  FIV is only transmitted by blood to blood contact- such as a deep bite wound.  The vet feels he is super healthy and with his passive and sweet personality its unlikely he would pass it to another kitty.  Cats with FIV can live a completely normal life if kept indoors.  Most cats with FIV do not develop full blown AIDS and will pass from other natural causes.  He currently does not need any special care due to the FIV, just a healthy diet!  Hank just loves to be your buddy!  He will sit with you while you watch tv or work on the computer.  He loves to play, comes when you call his name and is just a true companion.  Hank seems to do well with other cats and would likely be fine with dogs as long as they are cat friendly.  Hank loves all people that are gentle and kind to him...especially if they give him some love and attention!  Hank enjoys laying on your lap and even being held or carried around once he is comfortable with you.  He has a fabulous personality! 

Note: the only special needs Hank has is that he tested postive for FIV.  As with all FIV+ kitties, Hank would need a home that would provide proactive vet care to ensure that any illness is diagnosed and treated quickly since his immune system is already compromised.
