Meet Rum and Cola!  These two babies were born to a feral mama kitty who we rescued from a dangerous outdoor home.  We placed their mama into a foster home where she is slowly learning to trust her foster mom.  Rum and Cola were born in the middle of the afternoon on 5/2/18.  They were the only two in their litter, a very small litter!  Their mama adopted and nursed baby Margarita who made the third addition to their litter.  Rum and Cola's mother is a longhair, and at this age neither kitten looks like they will have long flowing fur, but both are a little fluffy.  As they grow up their fur will change and they could end up being anywhere from short hair, to medium, to long hair!  Who knows!

Rum is the little boy who is lighter in color and a little chubbier than his sister Cola.  Rum is affectionate and likes to be held.  When he is sleepy, he loves to have his belly rubbed.  He will purr the whole time until he falls asleep.  Rum is more adventurous and is often the first one from his litter to check out a new toy.  He loves to groom his sisters.  He is brave enough to be an only kitten or would do great with kitty friends in his home.

Cola is the little girl with big yellow eyes.  She is very food motivated.  She LOVES canned food and soft treats!  So far, Cola has not been willing to eat dry cat food, and will need to be fed wet food at least twice daily.  (We ask that adoptive families please keep this little quirk about her in mind.  She is not picky about canned food and will eat just about any variety.  We don't want her missing out on meals because only dry food is available.)  Cola is a total lovebug!  She purrs like crazy and rubs up against her foster family for attention.  She likes to be snuggled, but can be shy with strangers.  She warms up to new people quickly and her big personality shines through easily!  She is a very sweet girl!  Cola would do best in a home with another kitty to show her the ropes.
