Hi. I'm Sarah and I'm almost 5 months old. I was rescued from the wild outside with my brothers. The nice people who take care of me said I never have to go outside ever again. And you know, I think that's really great.
Atleast, I now think that's really great. You see, when I first came to the rescue I was really very scared. I missed my mommy so much and all I wanted to do was just hide in the corner. I thought if I just sat there and didn't move that my mommy would come for me. I thought if I pretended I wasn't there that the people around me would forget I was there.
But you know, they didn't forget. My foster mommy never forgot I was there. Even though my brothers ran around playing in front of her, and got pets from her, she never forgot to pay attention to the little kitty in the corner. And now I know there's nothing to be scared of.
I've learned how nice it is to drag myself out of the corner to play or get pet or have my tummy scratched. And I've learned that if I rub all over my foster mommy's leg, she'll pay even more attention to me. And now I know that's a good thing. I like being pet and having bonding moments with my foster mommy. And now my purrbox goes off whenever I'm held close.
As much as I'm adjusting, I know I'll still be a little shy with new people. And when I go to my new forever home, I may even get scared again and want to just sit in the corner. But I know that if you just give me a little time and lots of love, I'll learn that your home is as great as my foster mommy's home. I love other cats and kittens and know that being in a one-cat home is not something for me. I also know that being in a home with children would be great for me too. Oh, and I really think I can handle any dog that comes my way.
So do you think you have a heart big enough to love me? Do you think your arms are long enough to hold me close and keep me safe? If so, maybe you could let me be a part of your family? I promise I'll be a good girl for you.
Come visit me on Saturday, December 29th at the Petsmart on Fruitville Pike in Lancaster!
(Sarah is the littermate of Taz. While we would love to see her go to a forever home with her brother, it is not a requirement for adoption.)
