Axel and Anabelle are being fostered in Lancaster PA.  They are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and have been treated with flea and worm preventative.  They are 3 years old.  They are a bonded pair, but are not siblings.  They have both had dental work.  Axel is all grey.  He is very long and lean.  He has a very deep voice and is extremely vocal!  Anabelle is smaller than Axel.  She is grey and white.  She is a talker too, but her voice is much higher pitched than Axel's.

Axel and Anabelle were rescued almost 4 years ago.  Anabelle had been living in a tiny outdoor rabbit hutch with no human contact for several weeks prior to us rescuing her.  She was very afraid and traumatized, and it took a while for her to trust humans again.  Axel was found living in a wood pile in a residential area where neighbors wanted him gone.  We rescued him shortly before Anabelle and the two became fast friends.

About 3 years ago Axel and Anabelle were adopted together.  They were obviously loved and spoiled by their adoptive family.  All Axel wants in life is to cuddle up to his humans and relax.  Anabelle craves attention and adores people.

Then, for reasons unknown to us or Axel and Anabelle, their adoptive family DUMPED them at the Humane League.  Axel and Anabelle were terrified, confused, and heartbroken.  Thankfully, our friends at the HLLC called us and we were able to go get our sweet babies. 

Axel and Anabelle were both in need of dental work, and we can only assume that their adoptive family didn't want to pay for their medical care and dumped them off at the pound.  They have both received the dental care they needed and we are hopeful that they will not need additional dental work, however it is possible in a few years they might need more.

Axel and Anabelle are SO sweet.  All they want is to lay with their foster mom all day and be cuddled.  Anabelle was so distraught about being abandoned that she would not eat for three days.  Slowly but surely, these two lovebugs have come out of their shell and are back to their normal selves.

Anabelle and Axel are good with other cats as long as they are introduced correctly and are good with calm dogs.  They have previously lived 2 beagles and a toddler.  They do like each other, but like all siblings, they sometimes squabble.  They are not too attached to be separated.  We are willing to adopt them out separately if it means one of them will get a great forever home.

They are playful, loving, attention seeking, and so cuddly!  Please consider adopting Axel and Anabelle. 

The adoption fee for Axel and Anabelle is $160

They are also available to be adopted individually for $100.
