Mr. Salem is being fostered in Lancaster PA and is only available to be adopted within PA by families willing to come to Lancaster to meet him.  He is neutered, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV and has been regularly treated with flea and worm preventatives.  He is about 5 years old.

Salem is a sweetie, we love his calm disposition.  He is mellow and loving.  He can be demanding for attention if he hasn't seen his people all day and will rub on our legs trying to get picked up.  He loves to be held! 

Salem is a goofball, he loves to be comical for attention.  He will roll around on the floor and chirp for belly rubs!

He is great with other cats, dogs, and kids.  He has lived with dogs and cats his whole life and has no problems with them.  He has been around lots of kids and is always sweet with them.  If they are too noisey for him he will just go to the top of his cat tree where they can't get to him.  He comes back for loving once they calm down.

Salem needs to be on a diet desperately.  He weighs nearly 28 pounds and is very over weight.  His size is dangerous to his health.  When he was brought to our rescue he weighed in at a wopping 32 pounds!!  He has lost some weight, but his foster family does not have the time to properly exercise him.  He needs played with daily to get him moving and he needs his food limited to a healthy intake. 

Salem is a sweetheart, and he will do wonderful in a forever family!  He is very affectionate and quiet, he loves attention but does not pest for attention constantly.  He loves to sleep in bed with his family!  Salem has been a house cat his entire life and has the best house manners out almost all the cats we've ever met!

Salem LOVES to be brushed!  He purrs and rolls all around.  He is great for baths and likes the water.  He is a great kitty!

He could be adopted with his brother Leo or by himself.  His adoption fee is $50.
